FAQ

Why do I need a water filter for my dispenser or cooler?

A water filter improves taste, removes impurities, and protects your cooler from limescale. Whether you're using mains-fed or bottled coolers, filtration ensures your water is clean, fresh, and free from chlorine, sediment, and unwanted odours - perfect for healthy hydration at home or in the workplace.

How often should I replace my water cooler filter?

Most water filters should be replaced every 6 to 12 months, depending on usage and water quality. At Thirsty Work, we handle that for you — our engineers replace your filters during scheduled service visits as part of your rental or maintenance plan.

How do water filters for coolers work?

Our filtration systems use advanced carbon or ceramic technology to remove impurities from the water supply. These filters capture chlorine, heavy metals, and organic contaminants while preserving essential minerals - delivering better-tasting, safer water with every cup.

Installation

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

2. Insert the new cartridge into the filter head and rotate clockwise 1/4 turn.

3. Place the cartridge to the vertical position.

4. Turn on the water and check for leaks. If leaks occur, repeat steps 1, 2, 3, 4. If leaks persist, discontinue use and call Pura.

5. Flush filter for 5 minutes before use or until water runs clear.

6. The system and installation shall comply with applicable state and local regulations.

7. Spent adsorption media will not be regenerated and used.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

1. Systems certified for cyst reduction may be used on disinfected water that may contain filterable cyst.

2. Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown adequate disinfection before or after the system.

3. For cold water only.

4. The term 'bacteriostatic' indicates that the system limits the passage or growth of bacteria that may already exist in the incoming water. It does not mean that water leaving the system is safer to drink than water entering the system.

5. Replace cartridge when the flow rate becomes too slow and contact Pura.

6. The disposable filter cartridge must be replaced every 6 months, at the rated capacity or if a noticeable reduction in flow occurs.

7. Test was performed under standard laboratory conditions, actual performance may vary.

8. This warranty shall not apply to any failures damaged by abuse, misuse, alteration, or failure to follow operating.

9. In high pressure areas, PLV (Pressure Limiting Valve) be adjusted at 4 kgf/cm2 should be fitted at all times.
