Following our recent merger with Aquachill, Thirsty Work has been able to grab an opportunity to take our brand and products into the South East. As well as supplying our water and coolers to homes and businesses from our new base, we’ve also been able to open up a new market in the world of TV and film production.

Three core values

It’s these values that have seen us supplying our water products for the first time to TV and film production companies. As a fast-moving industry, often with last-minute, fast turnaround requests, being able to deliver a service that fulfils all three of them is a must. Primetime talent

From our South East base in Hemel Hempstead, we’re within easy reach of a lot of TV and film studios and production companies across Greater London. So when we were contacted by a London-based production company to supply them, we knew we had the ability to come through for them and deliver – and give ourselves the opportunity to become their regular water supplier as well.

We always ask new customers what issues or challenges they’re having with their existing water supplies – and what’s made them want to change supplier. So when we asked the same of the production team, we heard a familiar story. Their current supplier, an established national brand, had let them down – scheduled water supplies weren’t arriving, leaving production staff, crew, and talent on-set with no water.

TV and film studios have a huge crew of people on-set or on-location, so when vital water supplies don’t arrive, it frustrates a lot of people. And when it’s a major London studio with big names on-set for a primetime TV talent show (think Saturday night singing), that’s a lot of people – and egos – to keep pleased.

So what could we do to help them? No one likes seeing productions being delayed for any reason. So while they had water dispensers already in place, we had the opportunity to supply 60 bottles of our fresh spring water at short notice, keeping everyone on-set refreshed, hydrated – and happy.
