Top Things To Consider When You Buy A Water Cooler

Posted on August 22nd 2022 by

When you’re looking into buying a water cooler, there are plenty of things to consider beforehand. Just like any other product, you’ll have certain requirements and options to help you make a final decision. So when you’re in the market for buying a new water cooler, here are our top things you should be considering.

The type of water cooler you need

Different water coolers have different methods of delivering the pure-filtered water your home, office, or organisation needs. You can find out more about which water cooler is best for you, but they fall into two main categories:

Mains fed water coolers

Plumbed directly into your mains water supply, freestanding, mains fed water coolers units can be positioned in high-traffic, high-usage areas up to 13m away from the mains source, ideal for larger premises or factories.

Bottled water coolers

Suitable for smaller offices or lower usage, bottled water coolers can be plugged into a standard wall plug socket and used anywhere. Available as a freestanding or countertop unit, they can fit into virtually any space.

The type of water you want

Water from both types of cooler is pure-filtered for taste, either through our mains fed cooler’s advanced Pura filtration system or with bottled water sourced from our own underground spring. But alongside each cooler’s standard options of chilled or ambient water, you can also choose a hot water option on certain models as well.

Giving you water hot enough to make all the hot drinks you need, you could have a unit that does it all. For a standard office, a chilled/ambient model should tick most boxes for users. But if you’re serious about saving time and money on hot water, why not consider a hot water dispenser?

The eco-credentials of your supplier

Being more climate aware, eco-conscious, and sustainable in every way is crucial for everyone. While most water coolers are made from recycled/recyclable plastics, how far do the eco-credentials of your supplier really go? At Thirsty Work, we’re proud of our environmental policies that include:

The service you’ll get

Your whole experience of buying and using a water cooler leans heavily towards the kind of service you receive as well. The last thing you need is erratic deliveries, broken promises, and bad customer service which, sadly, are rife in a lot of companies.

Consider the water delivery times, your service and maintenance schedule, and whether you can speak to a real person when you call the company. These are the things that can be the difference between an excellent service or a terrible one. Thirsty Work is 100% transparent about all this and more and is committed to giving you the service you want and deserve – as standard.
